RESET's mission is the ecological adaptation of the built environment, for a resilient, biodiverse and healthy world.
RESET's purpose is to expand the awareness, knowledge, skills and capacity of people - professionals, legislators, advisors, public and private sector organisations, communities and individuals - to take transformational action for the ecological adaptation, resilience and health of our built environment.
We deliver training to increase the ecological value and resilience of our built environment, whether in the UK or internationally in areas facing the severest impacts of climate change.
We campaign and advocate for action at local, regional, national and international levels.
We work with all kinds of organisations and individuals, including commercial and academic institutions, policy makers and regulators, humanitarian and development organisations, communities and community-based organisations.
RESET was set up as a charity in 2007 by staff and students at the Graduate School of the Environment at the Centre for Alternative Technology in mid Wales and has evolved to include the following objectives:
To provide built environment skills and knowledge for a changing climate through training, advocacy, facilitation and researchTo expand the awareness of essential, low-energy, low-carbon concepts as widely as possibleTo support communities to enhance the quality of their local built environment
