the annual IHDC Conference and VIP Awards Ceremony was hosted by the Natural History Museum on 15th October, as well as a 2 week public exhibition 8th-19th October. This was a Fringe Event of the UN COP 11 on Biodiversity in Hyderabad taking place over the same period.

The IHDC is an annual competition to emphasise and demonstrate the value of integrating nature into the built environment.
The IHDC was co-instigated in 2010 by RESET with Dusty Gedge of livingroofs.org and Gary Grant, independent ecologist, chartered environmentalist and masterplanner.
This annual international competition prioritises the importance and value of nature in the built environment.
