Friends of Devonshire Road Nature Reserve (FDRNR) is a local community group that manages and supports the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve, a reserve that forms part of the Forest Hill to New Cross Gate railway cutting. It is a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation - as it contains probably the finest suite of railside wildlife habitat in London.

RESET is helping to facilitate the FDRNR with their project to replace their tired old hut with a purpose built visitor centre and educational facility; a really wonderful exemplar ecologically designed building that will serve the area as a centre for learning, cultural experience and fitness and form a centre-point, a meeting place for the local community.

The project is still in its early stages and FDRNR see it as essential to engage with as wide a cross-section of the community as possible; to find out what people want from the building, to engage with them so that the building becomes part of the fabric of the local community. With support from RESET a series of workshops and events, starting at Easter and running through the summer will be run, to engage with people, to talk to them about the project and to gather their views.
