An introduction to the methods and principles of rammed earth construction from the UK's rammed earth expert Rowland Keable of RamCast CIC. This workshop can include practical demonstrations and participation in setting formwork, ramming walls, including window and door openings. Through theory and case studies, including the Eden Project, Pines Calyx (rammed chalk conference centre), Hill Holt Wood Community Centre and the Welsh Institute of Sustainable Education rammed earth auditorium.

Straw Bale Design and Construction

An introduction to the methods and principles of straw bale design and construction from the UK's award winning straw bale experts and innovators Amazonails. This workshop can include practical demonstrations and participation in design and construction of structural and infill straw bale construction. Through theory and case studies, including the National Trust's Footprint building, North Kesteven social housing, and St Dogmael's winner of the Grand Designs Eco-home of the year.
